It takes time to make change, and change can be made in a variety of subtle, yet profound, ways. Mr. X needs to find some allies on this board who are willing to work together to advance new thinking. <br /><br />This example does point up the all-too-often ignored importance of the recruitment process. It is an opportunity for all parties to get to know each other to the extent that they are comfortable with the relationship. Mr. X's commitment to good governance should have been well-known before he joined the board.<br /><br />I say he should shake 'em up!!
